Save yourself some time & trouble. If you’re teaching the Armor of God from the Prepared to Stand Leader’s Guide, I’ve listed EVERYTHING you need for EVERYTHING–including the Intro Activities, the lessons, and the Application Activities. It’s organized by lesson and by activity. I’ve even linked to my recommendations for some things, plus printable visuals you can download, too. Let’s get started! 😀

Lesson 1: The Belt of Truth
Intro Activity
Find Intro Activity instructions here.
Tape – You can use masking tape, but I recommend this type of tape {affiliate link} because it is SOOOO much easier to get off after you’re done! If you’ve ever spent time on your knees trying to scrape masking tape off the floor, you know what I’m talking about. 😀 So do yourself a favor and grab this kind of tape instead. {affiliate link}
Water guns – The little ones don’t usually work so well… In fact I recommend these water shooters rather than true water “guns” {affiliate link}. I got a bunch of them for a couple of dollars last summer, and they worked better than the more expensive water guns we had.
Trash bags – The big black ones.
Scissors – These are for cutting head and arm holes in the trash bags.
Small prizes – Candy or little trinkets like these. {affiliate link}
Lesson Plan
Picture of a Roman soldier – I recommend this laminated poster because you can use dry erase markers on it to point out certain pieces of armor (and then easily erase the marker afterward). Plus it’s full-colored and over two feet tall, so your kids will be able to see it easily. This poster can be kinda hard to find, but I did some digging and finally found it for you. And you’ll use it in every single lesson, so go ahead and grab the Roman soldier poster now. 😉 {affiliate links}Dry erase markers – I prefer the “thin tip” markers. {affiliate link}
Tunic – you can also use a long dress, or even a bedsheet. You just need something that will hang down around your kids’ ankles. But there are some fun authentic-looking tunics on Amazon, and they aren’t that expensive. You’ll use this tunic more than once, so I think it’s worth the money spent. Here’s the “Roman soldier” tunic costume that I like the best. {affiliate link} It’s man-sized, so it should be plenty long on your kiddoes, too. 😉
Belt – Could be a cord/rope/sash, too–just something to tie up the tunic with.
Whiteboard – This is a great little whiteboard for teaching the Bible! {affiliate link} It’s small enough that you can move it around easily, but large enough that even a group of kids will be able to see what you’re doing on it. Plus, I love that you can stand it up (it has a leg on the back). So you aren’t dependent on an easel or something like that.
Application Activity

Design paper – For this activity, you can use any kind of design paper that you think your kids will like. For girls, this design is really nice. Boys might like this design. {affiliate links}
Pens or markers – I use ones like these. {affiliate link}
Protective sheet covers (or contact paper) – Personally I think that sheet covers like these are WAY easier to use than contact paper. {affiliate link}
